Christian McBride

Grammy Award winning bassist Christian McBride's career began in the New York clubs in the 1980s, whilst studying the classical bass at the renowned Julliard school. After one year at Julliard, McBride made a critical decision to leave the school to tour with trumpeter Roy Hargrove's first band and has since collaborated with an impressive array of musicians. He currently leads the propulsive Christian McBride band (saxophonist Ron Blake, keyboardist Geoffrey Keezer and drummer Terreon Gully).
