Serious, Edinburgh Festival, Frank Chickens and the Perrier awards...

25 years ago, some of the people who now run Serious took Japanese band Frank Chickens to the Edinburgh Festival. They did one of their best-ever shows and were nominated for a Perrier Award , and we then stopped taking shows to the Fringe, until Penguin Cafe returned there last year.
The people who have taken over the Perrier award are running a public competition to find the most popular Perrier nominee and, thanks to an intervention by Stewart Lee, Frank Chickens have gone viral – in fact, at the moment they’re topping the poll over all the megastars of the comedy world.
If you fancy helping them on their way, you can see more and vote at www.comedyawards.co.uk/whoisyourcomedygod.asp - perhaps Serious and Frank Chickens will be reunited once again...
