Sweet Billy Pilgrim were Mercury nominees for their album, Twice Born Men on David Sylvian’s Samadhisound label. Following successful shows with the Portico Quartet, they play a string of special shows for EAST.  Exemplars of English atmospheric alt-folk, their sound is somewhere between earthy and ethereal, combining strings and laptop tinkering to make beautiful sounds.  www.sweetbillypilgrim.com

Grab your bicycle, don your walking shoes or hop on a bus and move from venue to venue to also catch saxophonist Soweto Kinch, as he blends New Orleans blues, jazz and hip hop into a tight groove at Rich Mix and exuberant Eastern European sounds from the London Gypsy Orchestra at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.
