One of the defining features of The Be Good Tanyas has always been Frazey Ford’s distinctive vocals, and now she’s stepping out with Obadiah, a solo album on Nettwerk that she describes as “being moved by motherhood, earth and land”.  The influences run near the surface – you can hear the combination of soul and folk music that fuelled artists like Otis Redding and Joni Mitchell – but the stories are all her own. Frazey will be touring with a band that includes Trish Klein from The Tanyas.
