This dazzling celebration of song marks the start of the London Jazz Festival in emphatic style. Now in its third year and under the masterful direction of conductor/arranger/trumpeter Guy Barker Jazz Voice brings together a stunning range of vocal stars from the worlds of jazz, rock and soul whose unique interpretations of songwriting milestones are set to a grand orchestral jazz score. Full of surprises and chill-inducing musical moments this is the ultimate celebration of the art of jazz singing and songwriting.

Start with a bang, they always say, and the London Jazz Festival certainly achieved that. Jazz Voice, the Barbican’s opening-night cavalcade of nine singers and a 40-piece orchestra, got the crowd’s juices flowing immediately. Conductor and arranger Guy Barker created a five star suite that will be performed for years to come.” Evening Standard
